Analysis

Before solar, Mike’s household consumed 696.54 kWh of electricity in October of 2022. His energy bill of $112.99 included electricity charges, delivery fees, and regulatory costs.

Two years later, Mike’s energy usage increased by 35% — but his bill dropped to just $49.92 by going solar. With his consumption up to 934.15kWh in October of 2024 (and rate hikes of over 20%) he offset most of his energy needs through Net Metering. At the end of the month, Mike had $132.69 in solar credits offsetting his bill — and $54.52 left to carry forward.

Customer Feedback

“This was a pretty complex job with multiple phases, including roofing, electrical upgrades, and finally solar. The solar system delivers as promised and we are pleased with how the project unfolded. We greatly appreciated the professionalism of [the FIG Solar] team and the guidance on navigating gov’t funding programs and working with Hydro Ottawa. It was a painless process.

The after-sales support has been fantastic too, which we feel is a big deal. You hear about some solar companies disappearing, leaving people stuck with problems they can’t fix, but that’s not the case here. When we needed a hand, your team was there for us (special thanks to Todd and Graham).” – Mike K.

Mike’s new electric vehicle and heat pump were just part of his goal to trade fossil fuels for clean, efficient energy. This meant growing energy demands and electricity costs at home. So he called us.
